           [Author's note 2026: I found this scrap of paper in a pile I was about to trash. It shows the status of my investments on this date in 2002. This is not the budget, but a separate record of investments resulting from my employment. It shows the sources of the money by categories you won't understand, but the important one is Found Money, in the Equity section. Although I had barely two years employment in Florida by that time, I already had over $9,000 invested. To put this in perspective, if you could put $500 in the bank and leave it there unmolested for 25 years, that would make you a more successful investor than 95% of the population.]
