           This is Hurricane Charley and it is headed this way. Stay tuned. JZ and I have decided to bunker down at his place if Charley makes landfall here. His building is like a bunker. What's more likely to happen is a near miss. The storm passes nearby and you get lashed by alternating sun and rain as the spiral arms transit your area.
           In 1959, the first orbital photograph of the Earth was sent by Explorer 6. Not to be confused with earlier photos taken from high-altitude balloons and sub-orbital rockets taken as early as 1946. I never was able to find a copy.
