September 26, 2022

Yesteryear
One year ago today: September 26, 2021, 320 gallons.
Five years ago today: September 26, 2017, yep, outages every storm.
Nine years ago today: September 26, 2013, she lasted one gig.
Random years ago today: September 26, 2012, an afternoon indoors.

Quite a morning, too nice for work, although I cleaned the roof valleys anticipating hurricane rains. Up and down the ladder brand of fun. I grabbed the bass instead of the guitar I should be working on. For no reason, I’d like to drive downtown and walk around. Check in to see later. NPR radio and PBS TV are in cahoots on the wimp issues, I’m sure of it. Some Korean named Do Kwon disappeared with $40 billion in crypto and “Covenant Eyes” can help your church set up a monitoring system that “chaperones” your on-line activities. And we must never be allowed to forget if a man complains he can’t find a good woman, he is weak. If a woman complains no men, she is misunderstood. I heard all this over a big breakfast of Cream of Wheat. That’s it, except for coffee. It’s like Xmas in September, except for the lady who complained that KFC didn’t have any vegan options.
Who wouldn’t watch this train derailonly once. See how it approaches that curve too fast? That is totally typical of C+ programming. Somebody changed the code for sure and such people rarely have the brains to know the side effects, a built-in fault of such code caused by inheritance. It caught my eye because it happened in Aurora. And big Alex Jones finally gets a mention here because, in a travesty of American justice, the Democrat Judge ordered him to say he was guilty. Some folks can hardly wait for November.

Double ha, Russia has just granted Snowden citizenship. That thwarts a plot in place since Obama was around. I did go downtown, just taking it easy. Nobody there, no pretty women, nothing to see or do. Mailed some letters, a quick grocery shop, and a visit to the Thrift, that rounds it out. There’s no fun in America any more unless you create it yourself. The most expensive item I bought was an $8 broom handle, for this is the blog that dares. I can’t spice it up much more, I did a load of laundry and noticed that the oregano plants have all taken. Hardly the pace I’m used to but it compares well with the rest of retirement.
In a very rare post on youTube, somebody has actually made an accurate account of the Africa Korps, the force commanded by Irwin Rommel, the Desert Fox. It’s misleadingly subtitled Scorched Earth but for once gives a balanced review of the situation. It was indeed, just a corps, not an army. For those who don’t follow these things, a corps is two divisions, totally around 30,000 men. And army has three or more divisions. A ‘light’ division is one that does not have a contingent of heavy artillery. The video describes the bait technique and explains it is because the Germans knew the best way to knock out a tank was not with another tank.

There are still annoying allusions to the British, who had been illegally occupying Egypt for over a hundred years as “the good guys” as well as the deceitful practice of counting Italian tanks as part of Rommel’s main force. There is finally an admission that Rommel was very good at spotting enemy errors and acting on them instantly. For example, he was quick to spot the British had only a sixth of the men portrayed by their propaganda. This would be accompanied by the realization the Italians had surrendered without a fight thinking, this far out in the desert, nobody would ever find out about it.
Italy is back in the news 100 years later. The newly elected leader is being compared to Mussolini, one recent New York Times editorial drumbeat the word “fascist” not less than 35 times. Libtard panic is fun to watch as long as you keep out of the line of fire. The entire EU and American mainstream is working overtime to make this lady, Meloni(?), out to be a dictator, according to Tucker the Leftoids are saying she’s about to invade Poland.

Six. That’s the number of investigations the Bidenistas have going on against Trump at any given moment. I was talking politics at the Thrift. The general feeling is that the left can’t win even if they cheat to the maximum, so their best bet is somewhere between stalling the election or fixing it so Trump can’t win. He’s advancing over a very broad front, getting his people into key positions. He learned from 2016 and 2020 and knows the Deep State cannot be easily dismantled, but you can cut the head off the snake.
The radio blah-blah is that this will be the storm of the century. Why, it has been 100 years since a Category 3 or 4 hit these parts, they go on. Schools have closed to make emergency shelters. Think about that one. They send the children home, but where will the children be if they use the shelter? Why not just carry on with the classes? Oh, that’s right. Because then the parents would also be there to see what the kids are being taught. Got it.

This schematic shows the cone going right here, between my birdfeeders and the broken door on the red shed, I’ve put a red star so you can remember where to look for me. I’ll be under the bed, clinging to my bass. Fact is, these storms abate once they get over land and from this angle of attack, near Ft. Meyers, it has to travel a hundred miles to get here. I’ve ever found and explanation for the letters on this charge, since H is a slower wind than M. They can’t just tell you the speed any more. H is a minimum wind speed of 110 mph.
I guess that makes me ready except for taking the potted plants into the shed late tomorrow. We got food, coffee, and a propane canister stove, but the local coffee shops are built like bomb shelters and don’t close except for government mandates. For reading so far into today’s ho-hum blog, here’s one to think about. The libtard reaction to Russia granting citizenship to Snowden. It goes that Putin did that because Trump is a flight risk and will now feel safer about defecting to Russian. I think I hurt my hip again falling out of the chair when I read that.
