I don’t want to be the one that points out yet again that somebody on the Trump team is following this blog, but guess what? Trump is offering a reward (up to $30k) for anyone who provides data that results in a fraud conviction. Hmmm, I also suggested he do this with political opponents. This could get interesting. I had to turn the heater on. This means a beautiful day ahead. Here is a real Indian Army training film. It took a while to wait for the right day, but I got the dryer back together. So instead of impressing you with my hard work, you get this picture from the best of the videos.
This was a crazy job, ten years ago an hour, today four hours. And I’m missing one screw; I got GenXed so no pictures for you. Win 11 leaves not indication if a flash drive is still linked, and the eject icon (if you can find it) does not show which link is active. Guess wrong, and the camera still does every function—except take pictures. I’m certain, somehow these AOLs are telepathically linked through a server in hell.
The problem is fitting that replacement belt into place. It is positioned where you cannot see it, so it must be done by feel. And it turns out there are four ways this can be positioned. I actually got it right first time, but see that gap between the belts. It isn’t there on my machine. The two belts rub against each other. Possibly there is a gap once you reassemble the machine, but then you cannot see it or feel it.
Hence the four hours and I am one tired cowboy. The chore reminded me Kenmore is one cheap-ass brand. It’s back together and working, at least the drum and heater, which is about it. The lid will not go back on and most of the panels had to be forced back into place. The dryer is in an elevated and covered deck, yet there are signs of rust and corrosion everywhere. Kiss my rosie red, America.
Here is the dryer with the lid off as I prepare to re-install the lint filter cover. It’s only fun the first ten times you have to get up for another tool or something. You can see the dry deck and great lighting, there is no reason for this appliance to be so decrepit already. I have an excuse, I am past my expiry date. Hey world, I found the gumption to get this thing working again.
It’s not over yet, there is no indication why that last belt snapped. It was otherwise in very good condition. I’ll monitor the performance for a while. That would have been at least a $250 or $300 job at a shop. And that is where I’m headed right after a big lunch break. Rice with port and onions. Garlic and curry, this follows a breakfast of eggs, sausage, toast, and coffee. That’s our blog-food mention and I’m claiming I needed it to keep up strength.
That’s because I went over limit. That dryer needed man-handling to get at the innards and this time I did not pace myself. Same with walking back to the shed (twenty friggen times) to get something, I did not pause or rest, until the unit was back in operating condition, and there is a load of towels and underwear waster to test it with later. Yes, I own a lot of underwear, for unlike my brothers, I change daily. Now you know too much.

What did I learn today. I picked up this can of “sanding sealer”, out of curiosity. What’s it for? The label on the can has no instructions, it is 90% warnings. Says if you spill any on your shoes, you are supposed throw them away. It’s a highly recommended product but it is just primer. And talk about odor, it says use only in well-ventilated areas and they mean it.
Whew, it don’t get much getter than in my leaky shed with a crosswind and both fans on. Recall your model airplane glue? This is about four times stronger. It looked nice in the can, so I applied it to some wood around the shop. Shines nice, but we’ll judge again when it dries. The stuff goes my several differing names, this is the first time I’ve tried it. It is volatile juice, you can smell that instantly.
The mixture is also strange, it mixes but never blends. Left sitting, it moves in patterns by itself. I made a short video that I think resembles the red spot, on Jupiter. This movement here is shown in real time, you can see it swirling by itself in a distinct order toward the central dot. Why, if I was 30 years younger, I’d look into that. Unless I was too busy voting myself some free money, if you get my drift.
Soon as I lay down, I was out for four hours But I have drying and a second load in the washer. This is consistent with every time I exert just a normal amount. I’m drained and the recovery time ranges from a day to a week. Here I am. The lesson is learned, I must plan for the day that I cannot even do this, I did not age gracefully. One day you are young, the next day you are into tapioca and walking slower than the dog.
At least my woes are not self-inflicted. It seems the celebrities and such who fled America for the safety and social tranquility of Europe are having one hell of a time trying to get back into this country. At first they fell for the same trick as Canada. Everything seems swell for the first while. Then they find out what lower salaries and “free” healthcare are really about. Successful US business models get quelched under foreign socialism, and there is another factor nobody will mention. Those societies are static. Constantly trying to improve is not part of their fabric.
The polls are thick with anti-Trump statistics and declarations. The message is to not bother voting because he has already lost. This time very few are falling for it, in fact, the general feeling seems to be that Trump as already quietly secured the election. His massive rallies have proven the best gauge twice already, three if you admit he really did win 2020. The undercurrent is that the Democrats one remaining chance is to create massive unrest.
The catch there is that this time Trump and America are ready for it. In fact, one smart aleck posted a plan that knows the riots will be confined to blue cites. The moment they step in to rural turf, they’ll get their asses blown off. So, he continued, just use the army to seal the rioters in and let the cities bleed out. Sounds like a plan to me. We are now at the phase of pollster scandals, election subpoenas, and fraud busts.
It’s not often MSM distractions make my day, but here is the Wyoming Pumpkin. Some smart aleck posted, “Run, Pumpkie, run!” Don’t let the Establishment pigs ruin your day. At latest report, Pumpkie had made it 63 miles toward the Florida State line.
