A long day. I called Moogie and he starts tomorrow. He stayed overnight at otherwise it would be a long drive in the morning. Heather and I had a little tiff. Tina, my . . . called unexpectedly . . . when women drop me it is usually permanent . . . When she called we had an interesting talk, it was beautiful, but I found out the hard way that Heather had listened—eavesdropped to every word.
Bad news, I feel she suspects I do the same to her when she’s phoning. I hope Tina never forgets our good times. Women do that easily in my experience.
[Author’s note 2025: this page is beyond damaged, but I recall the day. Heather assumed other people did the same things she did, just they were not as good at it as she was. Tina always held out hope couples could get together again. Why did I put up with Heather? I was just a kid, she was in her mid-30s. I had left home and had to live somewhere until I got up a damage deposit and some cash to survive on. So I think I wound up living there for around six months. She had a cat named "Punker". She was a spiteful and unattractive woman, but I might have lived there longer if she'd learned to mind her own business. ]
There was a hit song this month featuring a drink called a pina colada. It was served in an ordinay glass like this one. We tried them. It was like drinking candy.
