[Author's note 2023: There was no journal kept this day. However, small parts of calendar entries and the odd photo still show up. Here is a terribly water-damaged snap of Frank & I counting toothpicks at IHOP. It must have been a special count day, say the quarter-million mark. We tended to make an occasion of it, and I'm clearly wearing a suit and tie. Frank is unrecognizable but I know from the silhouette that is him. It would be curious to know if some day computer may have advanced so far as to restore this picture. If so, I offer it to posterity, may this be the photograph they start with.]
