I'm in an I-told-you-so mood this morning, And rightly so, let me count the ways. I warned against that Osprey tilt-rotor boondoggle. The US military finally grounded the whole fleet. Trump is waffling and going soft on people who one tried to kill him, I knew he did not have the stomach for the job. And didn't I warn you about relying on any on-line services for your software or data, Seems a lot of people using MicroSoft365 didn't listen. But nothing to worry about says Redmond, all your data is backed up and safe, duh yup.
I spent the morning filling Lem's order as far as I could. This takes time for a number of reasons. The database is designed to look up individual tubes. An order for different tubes, even if they are a matching set for a stereo, still requires 18 searches and each search may entail up to 13 sub-searches depending on the brand names which range from Adminal to Zenith. I once toyed with the idea of marketing the tubes in sets that matched amplifier brands, but one look at how messed up those people were quickly squelched that idea.
Nor does a database solve any physical aspects of a warehousing system. Boxes get moved andrarely put back where they were. I'm missing a whole bag of the most common tube, a 12AX7. I'll find it, just maybe not today. I'd rather build another small box as the weather turns stormy. The wind is really picking up. If so, I'd like to be in the shed. I was right past Ybor Cigars (a night club) but two hours too early to check on the girl singers. I keep forgetting they are over-successful and don't open until middle of the afternoon.
How's JeePee doing? He's quite absorbed exploring his new habitat and I read on line a great idea for his water dish. Use a paint tray. It also says in addition to the basking lamp, provide floor heating. Okay, but he have had anything like that in Tennessee where it can be much colder. I could compare Florida to the turtle for being cold-blooded. It gets just as cold in Florida a other southern states, but the Sun each day gets high enough to drive it warm again. I also delved further into JeePee's pending media blitz and now I'm not so sure about Synthesia. While the simple parts are easy to use, they produce simple results.
Here he is checking out the temperature recorder. It reports the min and max temperatures of the day and it was down to 67F last evening. That's within his comfort range. He may be going on a road trip tomorrow out to the Gulf Coast as the tool I want is not available locally. That means he'll have to ride in his camper until I rig up some way for him to travel up front with me. Shown clearly, his house in Florida is not a terrarrium, but is open to the Florida elements. He took to it instantly and another discovery was his response to bird noises. It makes sense, he would not have had that much living in a fish tank. We also have a pair of new birdies, white with black hoods that once again do not appear in the reference book.
The FBI director has just resigned, sparing himself the ignominy of being booted out the door. Unfortunately, Trump is waffling on his mandate to prosecute these people. Firing is not enough for the American people. They want retribution. Fani Willis is refusing to comply with a court order, meaning she has nothing to lose by trying that angle.
Monaco royal family.

JeePee remains the focus as he adapts to the new digs with gusto. My guess is that the new cage of wire instead of glass gives him direct stimulation for his environment. This immediately means he experiences sound and movement from all directions most of the day. In Tennesse, he was along a wall away from the traffic. I got a great video of him devouring his blackberry ration only to discover the new cell won't download to Win 11, damn millennials just can't leave anything alone. His cage is the sunny morning bedroom until I find a way to let him outside.
Fewer things, I suppose, will reflect the changes in my routines as turtles, lack of gigs, and coffee breaks when they become recurring features of my daily journal, known to the world as a blog. What was once 19 hour airliners to Bangkok are now walking the dog a half-mile. This afternoon's high point is a vacuum cleaner. Yes, I have trouble nowadays with lifting full size units, so I saw this smaller size with the label 2HP. Just the correct weight for JeePee's cage. In Tennessee it was a chore to reach over the top of the terrarium and turtles are messy eaters. I'm sketching out a plan for timer-controls on both his heat lamp and basking lamp in case I have to leave him alone overnight.
I must report this little vacuum really honks. (Yes, that is my bass beside the vacuum, I mean doesn't everyone keep a bass handy just in case?) When I read 2HP I took that to mean the bogus scale they measure these things by. No way is does this equate to two horses of any size. But it sure does perform, giving JeePee the cleanest cage he's ever likely to have. Turtles are messy eaters and have fewer housekeeping skills than people I've met in other States of the Union.
What about my other vacuums, the tubes for Lem. I'll have the order ready later today but it is too cold this morning to be going through boxes in the silo. I may zip out to the coast via Wamuamua in the nice warm van. The slowdown with the tubes is if something does not sell, it may not get put back into place, but rather in a sorting bin and I now have 200 tubes in the bin. And the knowledge that eBay is not a good choice for selling this type of product. Also, I detest the eBay lack of a single click you can make that displays all your orders that have come in since last time.
Another man wrongly convicted of murder has been freed by the Innocence Project. One again, DNA shows discrepancies that should have been addressed at the original trails. But nothing ever happens to prosecutors of Judges who must blatantly be guilty of misconduct for these things to happen. People who accept rewards for turning in a suspect should never be allowed to testify against him.
