A stroke of good fortune, it rained out today, so there was no work. I went downtown and looking round for a bike with a sidecar. Exactly what I wanted. Called a DNEPR built in Russia. I was all over most of the bike shops in Richmond. The gear staggers me, in variety and price. A truly lovely card from Tina. Heather is gone for a few days.
[ Authors note 2025: this is the first mention I have of wanting a motorcycle with a sidecar. I was a motorcycle enthusiast for quite some time by 1980, but the fact that the West Coast makes it not an all year vehicle always slowed me down. In the end I did get a motorcycle with a sidecar and wound up traveling across the USA but that's a tail from another trailer Court.
Heather was an alcoholic on welfare. She rented me her extra room sight unseen. I was later to find out she went through roommates like crazy. Heather was an army brat, both her parents were alcoholics. She was hideous and not my type, so I actually managed to room there for a year, some kind of record for her.
Here’s a picture of the NASA “ozone layer” of this month in 1980. This climate change hoax is nothing new.]
