Alrighty! The contractors started up motors at 9:00AM this morning, so let’s go to work. First a coffee and the news that matters. Aha, did we call it right. Trump, the businessman, went right for the source of the corruption, the USAID money machine. The attacks on him are petering out, often after just hours. Corruption costs money and the Democrats are out of it. Again, I do not side with either group politically, but I have definite standards of behavior. See addendum. Trump has cut the Democrats off at the knees.
Here’s what a half-day’s work for me is. This conduit isn’t as easy to work with because I have to put the cable inside first. This single outlet as the standard 3-1/2 hours toil. Don’t watch the materials too closely, they are whatever was on sale at the time. The tank is visible along the far left. Then across over to the right, where it angles down at 90° to slip under the joists.
he pounding noises this morning is the contractors across the road, they are flying at that house something ferocious. When the wind is right, I can catch them arguing with the code inspector. The words are indistinct, but I know the sound. If the city could, it would force every older building to be replaced by something new built by city-licensed tradesmen only. The rub is that this is never going to happen. The well-built structures from 1930 to 1960 are likely to outlast any of the condos on the north side.
That’s the condos on Bradford’s father’s old farm. Hundreds of them, turning the area between here and north Bartow into a bedroom community. Truly odd, because commuting to either Tampa or Orlando is not feasible. Thirty miles on that road network is a two-hour commute each direction. The Kosmos spacecraft crashed into the ocean near Indonesia without making headlines.
I can hear the bathroom radio through the window where I’m working and I question NPR’s claim that they only received 10% of the funding from the taxpayer. Something is wrong over there as they are toning down the anti-Trump ganda. And on leftist issues, they are in full retreat as each round of investigation reveals more dirt. Now we have the tariff negotiations revealing world leaders who would not take phone calls from Biden fawning and hanging on Trump’s every word. England is at the boiling point.
China a week ago was vowing never to negotiate has crawled back begging for relief. Their industrial sector and banks are crumbling and there are rumors of civil unrest. Their industry was build on predatory trade practices they thought would last forever. Details are lacking but Trump need not settle for anything less than US economic dominance, nor should he bother. They knew what they were up to.
This comes as a further blow to the US fake media. They became sudden experts in business and said by now our store shelves would be “COVID-like” empty and all small business would collapse. Amazing the things these people learned in journalism school. I have a prediction. The talks lasted maybe two days, where it normally takes months to hammer out trade deals. I predict the reason was the near-tailspin of the Chinese economy but the far left will twist this by saying the deal went fast because the differences were not that great, hence no credit it due to Trump.

While it was great listening to political radio, I had to quit half-way. The work shown here was strenuous because it has to be done cramped over in the space available. Trump is finally calling the 21 million illegals an “invasion” as the army sets up a defense zone at the border and Canada moves to stop the panic flow to the north, mostly Jeets who know the system up there. There are flood warnings all over town and the streets around me a blocked off. It is not raining, so where is all this water coming from? It got level with my driveway before it stopped, that’s almost a foot of standing water. No warnings on the river, but something is haywire.
Which found me studying the bass to “Brown-Eyed Girl” again. It’s not a bass progression and that guitar player was wired on something. I’ve always played a generic line. Today I picked out a couple of the measures where he plays something nebulous. I translated the hazy notes up to an octave where they match the rest of the song, and some octaves I moved down, which gives some real vitality to that refrain part. I surprised myself.
Later, here is a photo showing the amount of rain. The source is nearby, just not here. The standing water is visible and the truck has sunk to the axle. But since there is no hurricane or storm warnings, the local radio never report this type of weather. There’s no money in it.
Then I played a movie called “The Angry Red Planet”. It seems corny now, but I was impressed by what they predicted. It brought a smile to see analog Bulova wall clocks and the women on the crew polishing and cleaning, especially old optical microscopes. The reel-to-reel computers are a hoot, but the flashing digital displays are way ahead of their time. They must have paid a lot to have them wired up. You can see the errors the techs of the day had trying to display letters, but those were just left for effect. It’s remarkably predictive.
Politics dominate, and Trump dominates politics. He knows he’s got the Democrats on the run. The Executive Orders are coming fast as each Democrat attack fails sooner than the last. They don’t even seem to have money left to pay their professional protesters, so their mayors and reps are being arrested doing their own dirty work. I repeat I do not align with either party, but I have no problem favoring the side that favors me. Trump is reportedly toying with a bill that doctors have to see Americans first, even if the room is full of illegals. Makes sense, since most of them don’t have medical. Yes, that would be a total political move, but one that evokes massive support in the voting public. He aims to slash pharma prices by 30%.
Trump seems to know he has them on the run. These recent spat of Democrat-appointed Judges is just being ignored by the looks of it. Each time he’s called their bluff or had a countermand ready—he’s learned their moves. Nobody remembers last week’s judge and nothing has happened to those who obey Trump. As if that isn’t enough, the Pope’s brother lives right here in Florida and he called Pelosi a drunk c***. We like this guy already.
It looks like Trump is going to get those 20,000 extra deportation agents, all paid for by salvaged USAID money. The traditional liberal hiding places of schools, hospitals, and churches are gone. ICE can now raid them if they are known to harbor illegals. Myself, I think they should target the welfare offices, put the real fear into those people. Oprah is under investigation. She pocketed a $300 million grant that was supposed to go to children.
And how about Disney, re-releasing their bastardized version of “Snow White” again for Mother’s Day. Disney keeps finding out that woke doesn’t work. Kind of like my water heater, but my heater can be fixed. (The old heater is still connected and works just fine.) And a MickyD’s has banned under-21s from dining indoors, which kind of serves them right.
ADDENDUM
I don’t know the working details. Representation in the US is calculated from census data. And if Trump successfully deports even 20 million illegals, it is permanent game over for the Democrats. Most illegals are concentrated in Democrat run cities due to the easy welfare handouts. If we get rid of all 51,000,000 people who are not here 100% legally, the Democrats would lose, let me calculate this, 31 Congressional seats minimum. They are facing extinction here, folks.
