Dang, another so-so day by breakfast time. So I fired off a bunch of letters, including a list to Mitch to find out what happened to some people he went to school with. His last e-mail mentioned names and I vaguely recall a few. My curiosity is mainly the way I recall his classmates as having everything they wanted handed to them, so did any of them ever amount to a thing? Check back later. One letter was to LizJohn, we used to be the Sunday Breakfast couple of choice around town for years. So, I made up a package of peach cobbler.
Now, the whole cabin smells of baked peaches and this puts me into coffee mode. Might as well write the morning off. And I’m out of ice cream. I plainly did not plan this one out. Dang, another lost day. I was noticing the mention or the White settlements along the American Atlantic coast has been completely purged. Up to several months ago, there were articles on up to 15 of these dig sites that reveal Europeans lived here thousands of years before today’s “indigenous peoples.” Poof, all gone. The primary clue was the discovery of flint arrowheads made from a material that was found only in southern France.
I then nodded forward and fell asleep in the chair until 4:30PM. This is no life. I’m going to train the game camera on myself to see if I am sleep-walking because I sure as hell am not sleep-working. I did get some things done, including taking the Yeti case out to the shed to make the cutouts. Only to find both my 20V Lithium batteries died at the same time. I’m beginning to suspect my cordless jigsaw has an unusually high drain.
Yes, this is an unexciting picture, the “weathered oak” stain and the plates for two Fake (or F-box) units. These were the ones chose by the lumber yard trying to be helpful. Some of the boards show green paint marks and edge discoloration. Mind you, the picture also shows that not everything takes forever around here. The logos were all burned last evening. The “fake” logo takes four times as long to burn than the club name.
Then I cut the plates for two Fake boxes, I want to test the new walnut stain on this wood before the Yeti box. Four minutes is all it took, as the Fake is the most refined and numerous style I have. It requires only one jig and two complete units can be build from a single small fence panel. They are inside on the laser while I watch videos of France burning down. Gosh, if only somebody had warned then 60 years ago, nomsayn?
That box is getting over-designed for a reason. I’m thinking of building my own such power supply.. I have the parts. A 12V charger, voltage regulator, rectifier, and cables. Even a timer that cuts the unit off after any 6 hours of usage. It uses a 12V game camera battery that easily powers a small bass amp, similar to a tailgater which now costs just $70—but the batteries are a bitch to replace. Just for the record, a light airplane passed overhead less than 150 feet up, the legal minimum is 500 feet.
Property taxes.

It’s not my day for functioning electrical gear. I got the Hundy batter charged and put the refurbished trickle charge in place. That’s how I discovered I’ve used up all my spare female power cord ends. I have a couple two-wire ends. How did I accumulate a dozen male ends? Easy, cutting the power cords off junked toasters and such before I chuck them. Then, my battery load tester goes dead.
It was stored mostly indoor in a nice wooden case—the same case where my last charger went kaput. Why is my gear going dead just sitting on the shelft? I’ll take it apart to see if it is anything obvious. I need that piece of equipment. Remind me to pick up a half-dozen Bic lighters soon. I keep them all over the place but always have to hunt for them.
What’s this? The last metal screw on the load tester is rusted in place. That is not supposed to be. It cannot be cut or drilled out, I will have to grind the head off. There is water everywhere in Florida, including in the air. That tool got wet, so unless I find bad joint or splice, it’s a goner. It’s 8:30PM and I’m famished. Is it spaghetti time? And a streaming movie. I know people who still buy DVD disks, I guess they don’t know that’s why streaming was invented. Think of a good old movie I’ve not seen in a while. Got it. ‘US Marshals” with Tommy Lee, another of those movies I’ve seen in snippets, never all through. They are just getting on the airplane now.
Something went right, that was one of the best spaghetti sauces ever. No secret ingredient, but I did dice up an extra large onion and sauté it in butter before adding ground pork and some generic sauce. For me, meatballs are too fussy and I don’t do beef. Wait, I do one thing different. When boiling the noodles, I add two tablespoons of “no salt seasoning” to the water. But for me this is nothing new. I saved half the sauce, so we can do this again shortly.
This weekend, I picked up several extra cans of poly finish, enough to experiment with. I’ve already dunked a few things but they are not coming up shiny. What I have in mind is dunking the small boxes, which we already knows looks great with the lighter stains. But will they take a polyurethane coating, and if so will it look okay. We’ll know shortly. At 10:14PM. I had a 5-1/2 minute sneezing spell. What is going on?
Another sleepless evening, but Tommy Lee always keeps the action fast forward, at the moment he’s chasing the Chinaman. News just in that the rioters are openly looting rich districts in France and their leader is blaming the victims. Says they are not concerned enough about what the poor, downtrodden immigrants are going through. Bring back the guillotine.
ADDENDUM
Here is a warning call from France. An elderly couple robbed and stripped in the streets by non-White Africans. How much longer, White Man? I don’t feel totally sorry for the French, because they were repeatedly warned. Plus, they kept voting in the most repulsive leaders Europe has ever produced. Many Americans are already thanking France for showing us where we are headed if we don’t smarten up.
CBS reported to America that the riots were “scuffles”. The rioters torched hundreds of cars and fired mortar rounds at police. Meanwhile at home I tried to read some of the law Maryland is trying to pass whereby people can volunteer to pay a “married family” tax but can never qualify to benefit from the tax. What a mess.
