February 20, 2001

Interesting—the new manager at 687 asked me if I kept records on DL. Yes, but only the hours. Logical Q(estion)—how do we know when we’re over budget. A(nswer)—we don’t. He said he’ll look into it, meanwhile, it’s between us only. Another 11-hour day on that S/S ala job codes. There is no easy way out—but I figured a way to do it. And I ain’t saying nothing. It hit me about 10:00 PM—alphabetize the numbers!

[Author’s note 2016-02-15: This is characteristic of the notes I keep when I’m tired out. 687 was a another jobsite, DL I don’t remember, but again, I was struggling with that new data input sheet from Texas. Note that although I was not with the company, I was a trusted cohort.]
