Yesteryear
One year ago today: September 14, 2021, Beemer bicycles.
Five years ago today: September 14, 2017, my last car.
Nine years ago today: September 14, 2013, Larry lizard.
Random years ago today: September 14, 2008, showering in Coeur d’Alaine.

If all went right, Martin Shkreli walks out of prison today, a year early. I’ve no time for the news, but I still hear of more pro-Trump candidates winning despite millions spent by the Democrats on ads and smear campaigns. That, and foolish raids on Trump supporters using already distrusted government agencies is imbecilic. Even if it is all justified, doing it before an election leaves a permanent undertone. I doubt there is anyone in America who believes the first version of the pandemic hoax as it was originally presented. Yet every mainstream station still begins every show with lame COVID news.
Here is trying to fit the plumbing into that space behind the sink. I have to cut and waste some copper pipe and spend another day at this, but it seems feasible We are not shooting for fancy here, folks.
The squirrel has again defeated the birdfeeder. He’s learned to tilt the whole unit including the wire cage so just enough seed falls out for a mini-feast. So, we move to the next level. There’s a tiny breeze picking up, if it gets going I may dare to step out there. The bird bath is on full blast but the birds are smart enough to stay in the shade. I read an article from the Pocket that delves into why people struggle to read instructions. I’m in general agreement, especially that the biggest component is writer stupidity. It is something I’m sure they insist upon in engineering school.

I was up early planning a workaround for the copper piping. I learned from plastic to always leave enough extra just in case. Good, because I used up all the margin for error. One more slip-up and I’m junking expensive taps. All the cutting and soldering was done in the shed. Add around 15 back-and-forth trips for pieces that need fitting and I got the whole project dry-fitted.
It’s getting dark by 6:00PM these days so I’m not pushing on with extra work, meaning I usually work an hour or two after dark or during rain, at most. Today I was out there four hours, allowing me to see where the long-term leaks are. One is directly over the entrance between two sheds, it just had to be at the worst possible spot. Here is the street, it seems the cable people have caused more than their share of woes. This view easily reveals the extra inch of height that keeps my property nice and dry, so to speak. But I still have to drive though it and Florida potholes can develop instantly.

The Democrat party has finally resorted to using the word “kill” against opponents. The popular feeling is that they know they’ve lost it but are still going to go for control. The plan is to provoke Trump supporters into something that allows them to declare martial law or something. So far, it is not working and be careful, these people are capable of anything. Something like 65 of the Hildebeest’s potential enemies have committed suicide and don’t for get the Kansas City bombing was a building that housed documents that were ordered released the next day. Boom, no documents.
This is a long-stemm drill with two extensions, part of the job today. I may just custom cut a few supporting strips of wood to match the pipes, since the space used behind the sinks is neglibile. Think like sailboat where space is precious. This entire bathroom needs space down to the millimeter, there is no place to store linen but at least you can get in the door without it banging on the old sink. The plastic pipe often worked first time, I don’t think it wise to expect that with this copper tubing.

A right-wing bloc has been elected in Sweden, and on a firm policy of checking immigrant crime. This is not good for the globalists and a terrible example for other western-style socialists. Slogans like “Win Europe Back” show a tough-mindedness for an all-female government and Italy is not far behind. It’s good for American morale, where too many think there is no way a pro-White government can be elected or think one can take power. I’ll be watching.
And isn’t that something, for the first time in years I was seriously considering a train trip (see addendum) and later today I hear Amtrak is canceling all long-distance routes. It concerns a freight strike, which the evil regime is targeting, but Amtrak uses the same rail lines. Two more MAGA Republicans were elected today, though I don’t know what capacity. I’m more intrigues by how little they spend to win against Democrats who are shelling out what seems to be $5 million per campaign. And DeSantis (Florida Governor) send two planeloads of illegals to Martha’s Vineyard, a playground for the rich. (Barrack Obama & Oprah Winfrey have mansions there.) Sadly, he sent only 48 instead of 48,000. According to Breitbart, over half of the residents of San Francisco report being a crime victim in the past five years.

ADDENDUM
Time for a holiday. I’m not up to par and a break might be therapeutic. All the work activity is a plus but I’m no longer capable of sustained endurance. I have the budget for that train ride, but most everything from here is the Miami morning run which means travel at night to anywhere north. I’d consider Tampa, with a $1 discount for seniors, wow, that means $2 off on the round trip. The only daily service arrives there at 5:00PM in the afternoon and nothing until past noon the next day. I recall a well-run little hotel in Ybor City but so long ago. Typically, my anti-tracking ware will not let the hotel maps display. Memory says I’ll recognize that hotel if I see it again, it was 3 stars and recently renovated, so maybe $80 per night.
The advertised hotels usually run $150 to $300 per night, it’s a holdover from the late 1800s when rich people often lived at a hotel. Hence, rooms for single travelers are rare. The hotel sites are very difficult to navigate unless you do what they want. The Greyhound has more convenient hours, but they don’t run every day. At any rate, with hotels right in Ybor running at those prices, I’d be wiser to finally buy that Kodiak battery and sleep in the van. Even the cheaper units will run fans overnight and would pay for themselves in five stays. I’m thinking.
If I recall, these batteries are sold on-line only. I wonder. If I get a boost before the end of this month, I may consider a $500 Yeti brand, they have a better reputation and I rarely stay in one spot long enough to drain the system. They are lithium, so you get 500 charges max, in reality more like 400. Do the math, if you stayed overnight 400 times saving $200 on hotels, you are up $80,000 better spent on having fun. My next scheduled journey to the west coast is well over a year away and van camping is the only way it is affordable.
