December 29, 2022

Yesteryear
One year ago today: December 29, 2021, working on the deck.
Five years ago today: December 29, 2017, heavily dependent.
Nine years ago today: December 29, 2013, confident? No.
Random years ago today: December 29, 2003, looking for 30, ha!

The world awakes to the good news big media is canning people by the thousands. The public, it seems, will only spend so much money on crap. The kicker is that once you get shit-canned from the media, there isn’t really much lower to sink. I’m with the camp that says if Trump had not come along, this would have happened in the teens. The good news is that, statistically, 100% of them got jabbed. Serves them right. Right as rain. They are lucky they are being laid off instead of arrested.
How about the J6 people suddenly dropping the subpoena against Trump? It’s taken to mean they know they’ll get their behinds kicked after January rolls around. Broadway continues top escort lawyers out of their shows for working at firms that sue the theaters. The lawyers sue, and get kicked out even more. All planets in the Solar System were visible last night, I missed it. The event is not all that rare. You might want to watch this video on Slaughterbots in case you think of some way to be prepared. It’s doubtful.

This is the spot beside my coffee maker after three days of freezing weather. The keen survivalists amongst you will spot the advanced methods I’ve employed to keep well during these spells. Hey, it’s too cold to walk to the trash buck on the other side of the kitchen. And see that Minute Maid? That’s the frozen slushy from a day earlier when it was too hot. I love these orange treats but they are too expensive for regular drinks. They have tumeric as an ingredient, possibly for color.
The upcoming day or two will be concerned with a trip to Miami. For those of you lucky enough to avoid this kind of thing, I’ve passed the point where Miami is a big deal. It’s all medical, and I started the day going for a haircut. Decide for yourself which is more exciting. Once more, the only radio station is NPR. Today was a disaster for them, they cooked up this interview with the Spice Girls, about how they were “racially diverse”. They begain asking the gals questions off a prepared script on that theme and the Spice Girls are like, “Huh? We never even really thought about it.”
Between here and Mulberry, there were 160 cars on the road. This might be a relaxing ddrive at all. On the way out of town, I passed a bunch of police cars beside the road. They had pulled over this lady but there was no evidence of any accidents. They were all standing around talking, not ticketing the lady. Missed the picture of 8 cops surrounding a blonde lady in a Bronco. Maybe it was her birthday?

Then, by Lake Okeechobee, NPR blows it again, this time about Oklahoma Indians. I was born near there and I know there are something like 40 tribes of Indians. They were trying to compare these tribes to the nations of Europe, the diversity thing again. What a laugh, the theme was a how the Europeans could become so much more like these primitive tribes, washing their clothes in the creek, if only they would open their borders and diversify. This totally overlooks how the tribes were constantly at war and practiced slavery, torture, and at times, cannibalism.
The broadcast was doubly lame because it soon became obvious the comparisons were not working. The NPR staff is so brainwashed they are immune to their own obvious errors. I’d say nearly everyone spotted the goof. When tallied up, NPRs points did all but declare the most important ingredient for success, happiness, freedom, and advancement had little to do with being natives. It was about being White. This made the long trip a breeze.
What’s this counter reaching 30,000? Have I taken that many photos with this Sony? Could be, and it is still not my favorite. It’s a seven-step 20 second chore to bring it into action, but it has stood the test of time.

Picture of the day.
Nauru, the entire nation.

Getting in after dark, I got the big story of what’s going on. We were also talking politics. Events have changed things and we again went over long term plans. Which brought up my own situation—I said fifty years ago if I ever live to be 71, and I’m not yet rich or famous, I would become leader of the revolution. Any revolution will do. I mean, somebody has to step up to the plate. JZ has an upcoming birthday that reminded me I may live that long yet. It has been 14 years since my long-term plan was revised because nobody thought I’d make it. Bottom line, I have no strategic plans past the day after tomorrow, much less until I am 71 and beyond.
I finished JZ’s plan for a road trip, even if he’ never do it. Buy a van, he can afford something already camperized. (I don’t mean the latest units hitting the market at $120,000.) If he ever gets out of town, mind you, we know he’ll have a whale of a time. He’s been in that same condo and neighborhood twenty years or so without a major vacation except with his family. Mind you, that include the Bahamas by private boat, but to me even the presence of family can be a hindrance.

He’s tired, I’m fasting and have no energy. We drank coffee and caught up. Still, I’m not hanging around the weekend. I’m heading back to the cabin directly after my appointments tomorrow. Well, JZ, you didn’t show so I paid somebody else to get them trees. He also underestimates the amount of tools and work space over here these days. Yeah, JZ, we could build most anything. I’m still looking for a project for the pallet wood in addition to saw ponies. Here’s an Internet view of how to build those magazine holders, the ones made of no-class plastic.
By 10:00PM I’d already been fasting six hours. JZ remains marveled at how the Reb calls to check if I arrived. He’s aware we are not a couple, but can’t separate that easily from how intertwined our dealings have become. Then again, he doesn’t really know any women he could go into business with, a trait he shares with 99% of men. It makes me wonder what he’d make of seeing us together. Since he has no computer, he’s not even seen us sing or clown around. (I’m given to believe the Reb & I do a lot more of that than most couples.)
