Yesteryear
One year ago today: June 25, 2023, butterfly capacitors.
Five years ago today: June 25, 2019, I arrive with $12.
Nine years ago today: June 25, 2015, early-century non-fiction.
Random years ago today: June 25, 2008, barely encouraging..

How busy was it? All get today is a video of the doggie fence. It has completely collapsed in a few places. The fact is, if the dog stayed in the yard, it’s because he felt like it. I’ll complete today’ special features, but the video will have to do. I need a full day of to get caught up.

Video has sound.

The yard work and such took eight hours. I thought I'd squeak up just enough energy to get you some highlights of the day. But lately highlights are hard to find. Mind you, I've not become a couch potato or cable surfer. I've taken to reading book called Admirals. It concerns the lives and careers of America's five-star admirals, and a lot of the politics on why four-star was not good enough. The book is over-long on these details, but they do raise the point that these people directed more and larger ships than any of the British fleets of the day and there was to be no fussing over rank on that point. The book takes a few swipes at Brit know-it-all and the myths surrounding MacArthur. He had some idea if he could get one Marine regiment and two carriers under his command, he could take any Japanese-held island. Ha, he'd have to his arse handed to him.

Picture of the day.
The middle of Wales, I think.
Remember to use BACK ARROW to return to blog.

Here’s rare treat. The doggie listening to lousy guitar music without snarling or attacking the musician. It was a sauna out there again today as we finished most of the work on the porch door and did some painting. What an extra pain having other people in the house. True, they are on a break and may want an afternoon nap, but they don’t have to deal with runaway doggies.

LATER: we have no idea why this video will not upload or play. It is produced exactly like most of the others shown here, but this one behaves differently. Our team is on it, of course, seeking to exploit any glitch in the software. Hey, I never asked Google to interfere with my blog, so fair is fair. Even later, the video seemed to self-recover from whatever was blocking it, but we have copies of what caused this glitch. If we don't find anything, or can't follow up, I'll post in a few days so others might pursue it. Hint, it has to do with one of our file naming conventions upsetting something during the upload.
